Fundamentals of Advocacy - Part II
Fundamentals of Advocacy is offered for FREE to staff and volunteers from member local domestic and sexual violence programs in Nebraska and staff from tribal domestic violence/sexual assault programs.
At this time the training is also open to other organizations for a $45 REGISTRATION FEE who wish to gain knowledge and application skills related to advocacy for domestic violence and sexual assault victims and survivors. Please be prepared to pay your registration fee through the website registration process.
For all registrants all other costs associated with the training are the responsibility of the participant (i.e. mileage, hotel, meals, parking, etc.)
Please plan accordingly as THIS REGISTRATION WILL BE FOR PART II ONLY.
Fundamentals of Advocacy Part II will be hosted in Lincoln, NE. Please see below for specific details:
March 13th, 14th and 15th (March 13th the training will be from 9 AM - 5 PM, March 14th and 15th the training will be from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM).
Training Location: Nebraska Wesleyan University Campus, Smith Curtis Building in the Callen Conference Center Room 103.
(Room Location: Smith Curtis Building has a West and South entrance. If you enter through the West entrance you are on the Lower Level and will need to turn right to reach Room 103, Callen Coference Center. If you use the South entrance you will go down stairs in the middle of the lobby to reach Room 103. Please note the West entrance is handicap accessible.)

Street parking north of the Smith Curtis building is recommended, please allow yourself adequate time to find parking.
If you require a hotel room a block of rooms are held at Staybridge Suites Lincoln Northeast 1501 North 86th St. Lincoln, NE 68505. You may reserve your hotel room by asking for the Nebraska Coalition Block. You can reach the hotel by calling 402-484-6000 or by calling Central Reservations at 800-238-8000. The room block will expire Feb. 12th so make sure to make your room arrangements soon.
